Every 60 seconds a child dies from malaria. Bed nets are a simple, cost-effective way to prevent children and families from being bitten by malaria-carrying mosquitoes while they sleep. To end malaria deaths in this generation, we need your help!
What can you do?
This World Malaria Day April 25, we're making it easier than ever for everyone to get involved! You can do small things to make a huge impact in the fight against malaria:
Share our new video featuring sportswriter Rick Reilly and Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry dressed in nothing but bed nets to show their commitment to ending malaria. We need your help to share the video, so activate your social media networks this World Malaria Day and share the video with as many friends as you can!
Be a part of Rick Reilly's challenge. Rick want wants to make your gifts to Nothing But Nets count double this World Malaria Day! He’s pledged that for every bed net you send, he will send one too! That means every time you donate $10 you are saving twice as many lives!
Help us Cover Africa! Our new Cover Africa platform showcases the stories of children and families whose lives have been touched by malaria and helped by bed nets. This way you can help communities where bed nets are needed most!
Join our Twitter chat. On Thursday April 25th, we will be hosting a twitter chat during the USAID Global Health World Malaria Day Twitter relay. Join us from 2:30 to 3 pm ET using hashtag #malariabuzz.
Share these images on Facebook. Help us spread the buzz this World Malaria Day by posting our photos on your Facebook timeline or by changing your Facebook cover photo!
And of course, send a net and save a life! It takes just $10 to keep a family safe from malaria.
Now you can take action for World Malaria Day, too. Let us know how you're participating and we'll give you a shout out on Facebook or Twitter!
