The Houston Dynamo took on the Real Salt Lake AND malaria on Saturday night, kicking off the Nothing But Nets’ city tour in Houston. Members of the Albion Hurricanes Soccer Club came by to enjoy the game and volunteer for Nothing But Nets during the pre-game SoccerFest. Many Dynamo fans came by the booth and the volunteers did a great job of spreading the message that malaria kills and nets save lives. The Nothing But Nets action continued during halftime as The Dynamo recognized the Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, highlighting its efforts in raising over $1 million for Nothing But Nets!
Dynamo fans: the team will be auctioning off signed Nothing But Nets t-shirts to raise funds for nets. Be sure to check their web site for details.
Thank you Dynamo for your support and for helping us kick off the Nothing But Nets activities in Houston!
