Racing for Refugees

On Sunday, August 31, over 1 million people will run the Human Race and raise funds for good causes. And I am one of them!

Three causes will benefit from this unprecedented event, including the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) – the premier humanitarian agency working support 33 million refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) around the world.

Did you know refugees and IDPs in many parts of Africa are most vulnerable to malaria? Malaria is THE leading cause of illness and death among refugees. Nothing But Nets will be working to support UNHCR’s efforts to get lifesaving nets to refugees in the coming months.
