When do malaria-carrying mosquitoes bite?

The Anopheles mosquito, that carries malaria, primarily bite at night and carry the life-threatening disease caused by the blood parasite Plasmodium.

But the Aedes mosquito, which can spread viruses that cause dengue, zika, Chikugunya and rift valley fever, is active mostly during the day.
