Nothing But Nets is taking the campaign to the Manhattan streets this November. For the first time ever, Nothing But Nets will have a team running the ING New York City Marathon to spread the buzz about malaria and raise money to send nets and save lives! Heading up the team is Chris Helfrich, the director of Nothing But Nets. According to Chris, “This race offers me a unique chance to combine two of my passions: Running and helping families in need.”
Chris will be joined at the starting line November 4 by nine other runners. Team member Russell Johnson, a USLI Team Lead from San Ramon, CA, will be running his second marathon. For Russell, “being able to combine my personal goals with Nothing But Nets is a win-win in my book.” Another team member is Ryan Kaminski, 25, a Human Rights Fellow from New York, who is representing our partners at the United Nations Association. For Ryan, running is all about going the “extra mile” to end malaria. You can support Chris, Russell, Ryan, and the whole Nothing But Nets team by visiting their Crowdrise pages.
Are you a runner? Join the Nothing But Nets marathon team! We still have two spots available for this exclusive opportunity! If you join the team, you are guaranteed entry into the marathon.
