I’ll be leading a new segment from Nothing But Nets – Malaria in the Media. Each month, I’ll compile the latest buzz in the malaria world and fly it straight to you.
Now I know what you’re thinking - why would a deadly anopheles mosquito like you spread awareness of the fight against malaria? Over the years, I’ve gotten a pretty bad rap from the Nothing But Nets team but deep down, my dream is that one day humans and mosquitoes can coexist without the threat of malaria.
....or it could be that I’m actually a double agent looking to climb the ranks at Nothing But Nets and sabotage the tremendous progress they’ve made against malaria.

Scientists have discovered a microbe that completely protects mosquitoes from being infected with malaria. The team in Kenya and the UK say the finding has ‘enormous potential’ to control the disease. The researchers are now investigating whether they can release infected mosquitoes into the wild, or use spores to suppress the disease. Click here.
