Let's take action for World Mosquito Day!

July 16 2020

One way that we can all engage from home is by writing a Letter to the Editor. Writing a Letter to the Editor is a great way to get the attention of Members of Congress as we continue to unite to fight against malaria and COVID-19.

To help you do this,  we have created a Letter to the Editor Toolkit which you can access here.  In the toolkit, you will find suggested structure and facts to help you get started in the writing process. Our goal is to give you the resources you need as you share why the fight to end malaria continues to be critically important.

Letters to the Editor are usually 250 words, so keep an eye on the word count. Also, please be sure to email me at wdimas@unfoundation.org with your Letter to the Editor BEFORE July 27th.  Once I receive your letter, our team will review and return it with enough time for you to get your letter published.  Remember to share your letter with one publication at a time. If a publication does not publish your piece – do not worry – just move on to the next!

Click here to watch our Communications Officer, Chelsea Montes de Oca, share some tips to help you get started with your LTE. To access the presentation slides click  here.

Happy writing! And we can’t wait to review your letters soon!

Stay safe and stay healthy!
