Here is what you can do to fight malaria and COVID-19

July 29 2020

World Mosquito Day is quickly approaching, and we are looking forward to seeing each one of you meet with your Members of Congress from August 17 to August 28th.

If you attend our webinars, have participated in a Leadership Summit, or are new in the fight to end malaria, we strongly encourage you to sign up to meet with your Member of Congress. To do so, please complete this form and our team will start working with your Members Offices to get a meeting scheduled. The office will determine if the meeting will take place via a video call platform or a call-in number. Our team will provide you with a script and up to date talking points so that you have a successful meeting. These meetings are generally about 30 minutes but will have a lasting impact as we continue to make progress in fighting malaria and COVID-19.

Let’s take the time to prepare and meet with our Members of Congress to thank them for their continued commitment to keeping America safe.  Consistent investments in global health programs like the President’s Malaria Initiative and the Global Fund continue to be critical.

Now more than ever, it’s important for U.S. leadership to strengthen investments in global health as we continue to fight COVID-19 in our own communities, and work to protect the gains that have been made through your advocacy in the fight against malaria.

To access our most recent DeepDive session updating on the appropriations process and the funding impact on PMI and the Global Fund click here. You can also view the presentation slides here.

Thank you again for your continued commitment to this fight! We don’t take it lightly that you choose to partner with us, as we each do our part to achieve a healthy and more equitable future.
