This week, we launched our Gift a Net campaign! It may seem early but the holiday season is right around the corner. Now through #GivingTuesday (December 2), we hope to raise 5,000 life-saving bednets to protect families in sub-Saharan Africa from malaria. 

We’ve all been there – one week before the holidays you’re scrambling to find the perfect gift. If you’re like us you probably don’t want to buy another gift card. According to data from Deloitte, gift cards are the most popular holiday gift, purchased by 43% of Americans. Instead, you can Gift a Net through and help save a life. In return, Nothing But Nets will send a personalized holiday card to your loved ones, letting them know you chose to Gift a Net in their honor.

The Gift a Net campaign was inspired by our Champions like Lynda and Katherine Commale, the incredible mother-daughter duo from Downingtown, Pennsylvania. In 2006, they started their own fundraising campaign through their church to raise funds for Nothing But Nets, including selling gift certificates to help send nets to families in Africa. At just six years old, Katherine helped her mom hand-decorate each gift certificate sold. They have raised $200,000 for Nothing But Nets since then to help send nets and save lives.
