My son Leo turns 3 years old this month, and when I asked him what he wanted to do for it, he said “help kids.”
I know one thing for sure. We have enough toys. We don’t need another Spiderman figure, stuffed animal or iPad game. Instead of collecting more toys for himself, he is collecting funds to send life-saving bed nets to children he has never met.
He will help other children reach their next birthdays by protecting them from malaria with new bed nets. I’m not only proud; I’m inspired.
You can pledge to Donate Your Birthday too!
Every $10 you raise will be used to purchase and distribute long-lasting, insecticide-treated bed nets to help protect families from malaria. Already, Leo’s raised enough to provide more than 400 nets to help kids and that’s a million times better than having more toys around.
We are halfway through the year and we have already sent 1,400 nets just through our Donate Your Birthday program. Help us get to 2,000 by signing up to Donate Your Birthday today.
